It was a king hell night for sure and it started with S Robertson running over 3 songs
"Nothing was heard"- a protest song about how we as a society never listen to logic and as a result gladly suffer disasters.
"Famous Person"- a funny little song that looks at the concept of fame and plays with it's context as our hero delivers an autobiographical number
"Disappear"- a Canadian classic song by Super Robertson and Simian Special
Then Genny Trigo took the stage and demonstrated her brilliance with a classical guitar and great voice and some south American classic folk songs. She can really stop the patrons in their tracks as they head in the door and then send some of their party to get drinks as others find a good seat. We call it the GT special... Genny Trigo starts singing and then people just appear out of know where with looks of intrigue on their happy faces.
Then Genny and Super got up together and played some fine versions of some songs they put together last year.
"the last honey and toast"- a song for the bees, but it is a bit sad, as it can be for things that aren't money
"Moustache man"- an ode to a photographer friend
"4 FEATHERS"- inspired by the book of RUMI
"Rage hero episode #37"- a song about how our hero tries in vain to solve a problem with a shoddy makeshift security device that ends up blowing up in his face
"one little dream"- a song about having the courage to do what you need to do to follow your path, and the confidence that that path will lead you to where you want to be.
All in all it was a fine SRSS and some of the folks that were there expressed that they quite enjoyed the evening, and pointed out a number of songs that they enjoyed.
that's all we really need
