October 21st re-cap

Gosh darn i was just going to post the video's and let them do the talking but i noticed that I have been upstaged by a wide screen video device and the screen is so wide that it cuts into the previous post portion of this here blog... and well of course we can't have that, so i guess we need some text to buy some space

As i was saying, it was a great show, the room was packed, there was participation, and suppers... what else do you need.

A Hockey game... there was that too: a Vancouver victory over the Chicago Black Hawks.

Next week Ganny Trigo and SR play songs... like this one

perhaps we have used enough space:

what you are looking at is a chiral image of the Dick Cash show last week at the SRSS done by S. Robertson, King Dinosaur and Jake, which was half the crowd on this particular night, but as Super Steve said "i like these guys... not a crowd but they still played hard for the people who were there". It should be noted that the Bass player has been drawn 2x... call it an error.

There is a great lesson in crowd/ supper show ratio, which has a bunch of odd turns here and there but i don't really feel like going into it at this time, as there is beer to be brewed, bottles to be washed and babies to be hushed. Next thing you know it will be time for that supper show tomorrow.... the one that will have "Sean and John", a father and son duo and "The Legion of Flying Monkies Horn Orchestra".

Why do kids have to constantly scream? It's just really insane... do we need to hear this... wait a minute... MUSIC we need music... that will take care of that incessant wailing in the background... Music is important... never forget that... i almost tried to make the point that music is not important... foolish. Time for a Winston Churchill quote

Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm

– Sir Winston Churchill

well that's better

I was asked to play guitar for the horn band set but i suffered an undisclosed upper body injury, actually i have swine flu, or Rubella... i mean i need to film the show, yes that's it... it has to be captured by a professional and it's too late to call in somebody from Hollywood... the flights might not connect in time.

October 7 Re-Cap

It was a Dillworth and Matheson show and i almost didn't go, but then i saw that the game was on on TSN... not that a Dillworth and Matheson show would not be great, and it was, it's just that i end up a little burned out from time to time. When i came in I saw Cam and we talked about such a thing... how everybody is getting older and they don't have the energy to get out, but then he noted that I get out more than most which is rather a victory being a man with 3 kids. indeed, super robertson or sucker robertson, or scene sucking robertson... it don't matter because the Canucks came to play putting on a 6-1 demolition over the Montreal Canadians... too bad King Dino wasn't there, no super steve either, just me drinking and watching hockey and hearing the SRSS. Well the first intermission came so i moved up to the show and caught some classic Cam and Jesse... the gag where Cam stands behind Jesse with his arms playing guitar whispering the lyrics into Jesse's ear for Jesse to sing... classic. Cam played a classic Cam song and they did Poop Machine, and Caleb Stull was called up for a song, which was excellent. I slipped back to the game... my team was playing well which was a first for the season (one of my teams has yet to win a game as of this writing). It was around the time that Henrik scored a nice backhand goal top shelf where mommy hides the cookies that i heard in the distance that Cam and Jesse were trying to call me up to the stage to play a song... in one way i would have liked to play "nothing was heard" with Shawn Killaly on drums and Cam and Jesse harmonizing on the chorus, now that the words are done... but in another way i didn't want to jinx the energy of the universe and fowl up the first "feel good" game of the year... so i pretended i didn't hear them. Imagine that guys on stage saying things and people not listening... silly.

tomorrow catch DICK CASH at the Super Robertson Supper Show

I have been trying to set up a new website, but it's odd... i just don't get it. No matter what happens i can't get it to work... it's this weird energy i have with computers... there is always some problem, no matter how simple the procedure has been said to be, and some step that if you follow word for word in the instructions has a bunch of different and alarmingly new titles... and then there is odd compatibilities with respect to operating system versions. At one point today i was almost in tears over the pure insanity that i had spent 9 hours trying to set up a domain name with a server with the ability to update the site, which i still can't do. It's safe to say that i don't get it and i never will for some reason.

Last weeks supper show went well... a good crew came out with the lure of cake, Pockets and Fire-Man came correct and helped create a fine supper show

words from a swine Flu survivor

Robertson theater... excellent horn Fire-Man

Shawn Killaly phoned me today and apparently he will be playing drums at the SRSS tomorrow with Cam and Jesse.
