Hard to know where to go with this review... they started 20 minutes late, and then they gave a reason which was totally unacceptable to the SR mindset, but hey, what you going to do. Did i mention Cam did "The Man from Nantucket" poem again... move come quickly!
There were some good times for sure, and the intimate audience enjoyed the show. Jesse made up a birthday song for Ivan:
Classic Matheson... no denying he held court and entertained the audience, and that's what we are looking for... the less one hears about fecal matter and fucking ears with your own large male member the better I say.
If you want to do a burlesque show then i think mild nudity is acceptable... actually i have no problem with nakedness. I think in me it is a matter of rebellion... wear a suit look respectable... but the people that just stole all the money wear suits... shut up you, and look respectable, and don't be so paranoid and foolish, obey the laws for your protection.
Then the next question is why put on a show, and then review it, and then give it a bad review? That makes no sense in terms of expanding one's brand... you know building a following, a following you can sell stuff to, or get to vote for you in an exposure competition. Like a room full of people and you throw your ideas against the human mosaic and see what sticks and then refine that idea focusing on the ideas that brought people into the fold. Smells like shit eh! I'm just being facetious... and I'm sorry Cameron Dilworth was 20 minutes late starting the show because he had to take a shit, but in that case i think it is up to Jesse Matheson to play some music for a while until Cam comes out of labour and can join in like a normal human might.
Back in the old days of the SRSS when Alvaro had a gig we would just start playing the show @ 7:30 with the bass on stage and when he came he walked up on stage and started ripping it to what was going on, which was then shut down by a certain horn... ha ha ha we like to laugh. You see I'm almost mentally in Portland now and I'm on the yuk yuk express... lets bury this scene like a cat might do to something the size of a few batteries.
Why do I not care? I do, i just don't believe anybody else does, and i know that's not accurate, but what you believe and what is accurate can be miles apart. If what everybody believed was accurate then we might not have the problems we have with humanity... you know those little problems that fester, hidden, in plain view.

For Wednesday October 12 we have James Toren Johnson and the 21 Tandem Repeats review. Essentially 2 hybrid bands sharing certain members... what could possibly go wrong. Tune in next week to find out!
On that note i have an idea... when James Toren Johnson hits the stage lets call it heckle night... also make sure you strike up a fine conversation with the person beside you.. sports people on the left of the bar, pop culture center, and conspiracy theorists on the right... really get into it, and if you are in the middle of a conspiracy theory and you think something sports related don't feel shy about shouting across the room to make your point. And then when 21 tandem repeats goes up lets call it listen and respond night. You will listen quietly and intently to the show and perhaps we could have a mild conversation about the song subject after much applause. Then and only then will we have collected our first data for our study on the effects of crowd attention and random volume to live performance satisfaction.
