August 11 re-cap
Hot damn it's late and my memory has been shafted by a hockey playoff victory and the requisite beers that followed. Luckily i managed to tape the show and it was one King hell show if i don't say so myself... luckily in the way that i can post a video and the video can do the speaking, and i can go on about the lesson from the swim.
we hit the swim, a nice little group and there was a female presence which was most excellent because she did the right things like bringing hot tea and emergency blankets to lie on so we could sit and muse and around that time there were 2 fires on the beach and we were tempted to go join in... but we had tea and blankets and the woman logic reminded us that everything was good where we were. Right right... there was a lot less chance for regret if we stayed where we were... i was initially thinking in terms of personalities that i might not want to have to overcome should i impose myself on a party. Soon the cops came and shut down the fires and we watched from a nice safe distance very happy that we were not one of the people around the fire when the party was busted.
Next week or tomorrow for that matter we have "The legion of Flying Monkeys Horn Orchestra", and even better there will be Cake. A double birthday celebration for 2 unsung SRSS heroes... 1)JLS (soundman and multi-instrumentalist) and 2)CT (stalwart who minds children every wednesday night so that this can happen).
Swimming is always an option, and i have been reminded that perhaps if i tried to sell it more like a wonderful experience and less like a dangerous shark ridden hypothermia blast i might get more takers... sales was never my strong suit... I'm very proud of that.
get in touch with me if you think we need a limo to take us from the club to the water... could be a good option.
